Has there been any changes to your OS at all?

I had a lot of trouble when one of my servers was taken out of a domain.

Have you tried the following?

Check which services are currently known by the listener by executing: lsnrctl services <listener name>.

Check that the SERVICE_NAME parameter in the connect descriptor of the net service name used specifies a service known by the listener.

Check for an event in the listener.log file

Sorry if you have tried these already.

Hi-

If you open you listener.ora file from ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory, you could get the listener name.

After you found that from you command prompt check for the status of listener..

lsnrctl

LSNRTCTL> status <listener name>

If its not running restart it.

stop <listener name>
start <listener name>

Thanks!
