Procedure runs slower in 10g [message #195037] Tue, 26 September 2006 12:46 Go to next message

We have a stored procedure that is running much slower in a 10g environment than it previously did in 9i. The table statistics have been recomputed in case that was the issue and we don't see anything else. Are there any new "features" in 10g that might cause a procedure that is doing a lot of inserts and updates to run longer? Maybe the flashback feature or something else? Thanks.

You would need to trace both the 9i and 10g sessions and see which SQL statement(s) have different plans/execution durations.
