Hi,
A small query...
How can I grant CONNECT only privileges to a user.
I have used the following statement. Is it sufficient or any alternative statement is available.

SQL> CREATE USER A IDENTIFIED BY A;
User created.
SQL> GRANT CONNECT TO A;
Grant succeeded.

Thanks in advance

ya that is one way to do the thing. You can also use
In fact Connect is not a privilege its a role. Which has got the CREATE SESSION privilege along with some other privileges. The actual privilege which allow the user to connect to the db is CREATE SESSION privilege.

SQL> GRANT CREATE SESSION to A;

Grant Succeed.
