Hi friends,

I have one doubt,

There is a separate Oracle installation CD for WINDOWS and LINUX.

I have installed oracle in windows xp,using this same CD i can install in LINUX also...........?

NOPE...you'll need a different CD. You don't mention what version of the DB you are using, but here are 10g Downloads BY O/S.
