hi experts

i am using oracle8i... i want to import database or say table created in msaccess into oracle how to do it.... plz inform

Two good ways:

- For smaller tables (say, up to 100,000 rows), use ODBC to create a LINK TABLE in MS Access that resides on the Oracle database. You can do this with the Import wizard in MS Access without touching Oracle (good for beginners), but you need the Oracle*Net client drivers installed on your PC.

- For better performance on large data volumes, export the MS*Access table to a CSV file, and then use SQL*Loader to load it into Oracle - you will have to pre-create the table in Oracle. See the Oracle Utilities manual for instructions on SQL*Loader.
