Hi friends,

I have some basic doubts , I think only u guys can clear it.

1. what is difference between IS and AS when we create a procedure ,anyway there will be some difference right...

2.Creating a table with datatype of INTEGER and NUMBER
if i give integer ,it takes as a NUMBER(38).
any other diff in oracle.

3.while creating constraints,it s always showing constriant type is C , it wont show U-unique and P-primary..

Kindly share ur idea

1) No difference between them. Use whichever makes you feel happier.

2) The main difference is that you can't put decimal values into an integer column. If you look in USER_TAB_COLUMNS for the integer column, you'll see that the SCALE (number of allowable dps) is zero for the integer.

3) I suspect that you are using some tool to describe tables to you, and it is just showing the column level check constraints. If you could let us know what you are actually doing, we might be able to help.
