I assume you are talking about text indexing ? If so, you'll need to install/configure Oracle TEXT. Since you don't give a version, here is the documentation for 9i Oracle TEXT.

You may also want to review the Oracle Text forum on this site for some good examples.

I m using oracle9i and getting error message

Full-Text Search is not enabled for the current database

What are you trying to do when you get the error? Are you using Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition?

Enterprise version when
creating index through job schduler getting error

message:
