i want to insert data from one table to another.

Eg:

Table A
A1 varchar2(5)
B1 varchar2(5)
C1 varchar2(10)
...

I want to insert the record present in another schema to the one table in different schema with a where condition.

currently tried out this:

insert into table scott.a as select * from jai.a where A1='10;

But this is not working.

Regards
Jai

You have to correct the syntax:

INSERT INTO SCOTT.A (SELECT * FROM JAI.A WHERE A1 = '10');
