I want to change the name of primary key ?
is it possible in oracle 8i or 9i

hi,

do you mean renaming a constraint.then it's 'Yes'.but, for that u may requird 9.2 or later.

alter table test1 rename constraint old_constraint_name to new_constrain_name.

Try: ALTER TABLE ... RENAME CONSTRAINT ...

If I'm not mistaken this was introduced in 9.2.

i feel that mr.sam is posting some kind of interview questions here and getting answers...if you work practically i dont think you will get answers like these buddy..
