From the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console Login, I choose "Login to the Oracle Management Server option.

Administrator: system, sys, oem_temp
Management Server: SID, machine name

I've tried the combination above, and still can't login. I get the following errors:
1. The exception (oracle.sysman.emSDK.client.omsClient.ClientException) occurred.
2. Unable to resolve hostname x (system/password and SID as the Management Server)
3. A service in Oracle Management Server has not been completely initialized (sysman/oem_temp and my hostname)

I've searched the internet & forums w/ the same issue and their solutions don't help me.

Suggestion: From command line run "oemctl status oms"
My problem: I get a "Could not locate an Oracle Management Server on node x. Has it been shut down?"

Suggestion: Go to start -> programs -> Administrative tools -> services. Double click it ,you will see an entry for Oracle Management Server ,start it up.
My problem: I don't have "Oracle Management Server" in my Services list.

Please help. What else can I try?

Thanks!

You first need to run Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant (emca) to create the managment server repository (Configuring and Controlling the Management Server).
