Hi, I am a newbie. can you please tell me if Rollback is done after DML operation, say inserting the data in the table, then will it release the storage space??

No, rollback does not release storage space.

It depends entirely on what you mean by 'Storage Space'.

When you issue a Rollback, all the changes you made to the data are undone, and the rollback space used is released.

If your changes required the high water mark on any tables to move, or required segments to gain new extents, then these changes will not be undone.
