Hi all,

I need to create an ATO item on the fly, which will be invoked from a custom form and I need to put it on a Sales Order. I can take care of the inserting the item on the Sales Order, but is there any API for creating an item?

Please let me know.

Hi,

You can upload the item through interface table
the following is the table to load the item through interface and do the item import in inventory responsibility

MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE

Hi Ananth,
Thanks for the reply, but the requirement here is to create an ATO item on the fly. The user would like to click on some button and wait for the response if the item was successfully created or not.

From metalink and other forums I was able to educate myself that it is possible though 
EGO_ITEM_PUB.Process_Item
but I guess 11.5.7 doesn't have it.
But 11.5.7 has 
INV_ITEM_GRP.Create_item
which does similar process. Is there any documentation with reguard to this API?
