Hi,

I have a webform posting to a procedure.
One of the parameters is in XML format. I am reading in this parameter as a varchar2 first before I call another method which take in xmltype to extract the values.

How do I convert varchar2 to xmltype?

Or is it better for the procedure to take in xml straight?

DECLARE
  v_xml   xmltype;
  v_vc    varchar2(100) := '<BLOCK><ROW>data</ROW><ROW>More data</ROW></BLOCK>';
begin
  v_xml := xmltype(v_vc);
end;
