is it datadictionary tables

Tables,views,indexes,procedures etc..these are objects of the database.
datadictionary views contain information about database and its associated objects.
Query user_objects to know the objects you own.
Tables are stored in their respective tablespaces. These are just a way oracle chooses to display data. The actual data is stored in datafiles.
