Hi every one,

i set up my database and when i am trying to connect to sql i am getting the message "ORA-12514: TNS:listener could not resolve SERVICE_NAME given in connect
descriptor"... i added tns names in tnsnames.ora file and sqlnet.ora file is also correct.
can any one suggest me how to proceed

Hi,

Make sure there are no syntax errors anywhere in the file. Particularly look for unmatched parentheses or stray characters. Any error in a TNSNAMES.ORA file makes it unusable.
