Hi

HI

Can any one help

I want to create an pl/sql report that produces a text file and with in that file I want to embed pcl commands in order to change the font and so on.

Here is a sample of my progress, Im thinking that it might be easier to store these items in custom tables?

set serveroutput on

declare
ESC char(1);
TR11 char(50);
begin
ESC := chr(27);
TR11 := (ESC || '(0U' || ESC || '(s1p11v0s0b16901T');
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('ESC is '||TR11);

end;

Thanks for any help

Mart

I'd love to help, but you haven't actually mentioned what the problem is. That does make it a tad tricky. Cool

Thanks for your reply Sunny

The problem is that I don't know pl/sql

The target is to have a text file where pcl commands are in the head of each record complex, for example.

^[&f411y3X
(call macro form overlay)

^[(s3p100h24v7,21s7,21b24670T 0201187987
(Print number as barcode)

^[(s0p10h12v0s2b4099T
(barcode off)

in this example ^[ is the escape sequence. which is typed using Ctrl P and Ctrl [

following on from this the product attributes will also be selected.

Of cause the I will also have to set the spacing to get the barcode in the right place etc

Is this a single stand alone project, or are you going to be producing a lot of text files in this format?

Are the text files you want to produce fixed text, or do you want to produce a full report structure (eg for each row in table A show these details, and then show all the records in table B)
