I have Oracle 9i Release 2 running on Server with 4 GB RAM and I was facing frequent TNS Internal Limit exceeded problem. I converted the server on Shared mode and now the problem has resolved.
But I am facing a another problem SGA is restricted to just 1.4 GB of RAM and the system is having only Oracle 9i on it.
How do I increase the SGA size to increase the performance ?
The database was configured by the previous DBA who has left.
Please help me.

My buffer cache hit ratio is very low 50-60 percent.
But when I try to increase the size of the SGA is says insufficient memory.
I have 4 GB RAM and Total system including 1.39 GB used by Oracle is not more than 1.6 GB.
How do I optimize it ?
Thanks in advance.
warm regards,
Pankaj
