HI

Can any one help

I want to create an sql report that produces a text file and with in that file I want to embed pcl commands in order to call a macro stored on the printer. (form overlay)

Oracle lets you put literals in a sql statement.

>sqlplus
>username: <your username>
>password: <your password>
spool yourfile.txt
set linesize 100
set pagesize 0

select 'your pcl command', <the stuff you want printed> ...
from ...
where...
order by ...
commit;
exit;
Now edit yourfile.txt the take out the sql commands and commit;
send the file to your printer.
