Hi frns,

A small doubt.I have EMP table. Can i restrict users to use the WHERE CLAUSE. For example
I must allow users to use WHERE clause only based on deptno.Something like

select * from emp where deptno=<value>

And users are not allowed to use the WHERE clause based on other columns in EMP table.
Its a bussiness rule. Can i do that ???

Thanks in advance
franky

what front-end are your users on? How do they enter their queries?

So do your end users type in and execute ad-hoc queries frequently?
