hi all,

i have to display the hiredate as 'B' if it is before 01/01/2000
and 'A' if it is after 01/01/2005
by using decode or case functions.

pls help me out

I am sure you read the documentation on decode and case and came up with a solution by yourself.
Show us and tell us where you are stuck. Only then we will help you with your homework.

I will not solve your homework, but I will give you a hint for the decode. Look at the greatest or least functions.
