How do I smartly import data from db_table to 2 destination tables, where one table BOOK has a FK_author, referring to a PK_id in table AUTHOR. (the PK and FK is not imported)
Secondly several books have the same author, so when do I merge the fields in Author?
I created a sequence trg for PK_id author, but should the FK in book have a sequence trg as well... nooo can't be.
Thank you for every hint.

Where is the data coming from? You say 'import data from db_table' - do you mean you are trying to split the data in a table out into two other tables, or are you importing the data into the database from outside?
