Hi,
I'm going after OWB tutorial, and I'm trying to execute process flow. I was deployed without errors, but it seems that something it's wrong, because execution lasts over 1,5 hour now and it doesn't want to finish.

Does anybody has any idea what's going on?
thanks in advance

All depends on your process flow. If it is a huge one (with a lot of mappings within) over a large dataset you can expect it to run a long time. Do your individual mappings run fast?

thanks for Your reply,
well, there aren't many mappings, and they run fast.

What does your runtime audit browser tell you? You should be able to see where it 'hangs'. We have a view here to look at the mapping progress. What version are you running?

my runtime audit browser tells me nothing. In execution report -Activity Details, and Error Messages are empty,
Elapsed Time is 0, Data Error Count 0, state - busy.

Maybe I'm looking not in the right place in Runtime Audit Browser?

Version
database 10.2
OWB 10.1
Oracle Workflow 2.6.4

Have you declared an error end operator? The make your workflow so that the subsequent mappings are only ran when it is ok. In case of warning/error the flow should go to the end error.

Yes, I've declared an error end operator.
I've done everything what is written here:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/index.html

till designing process flows, because execution hangs :/

Hi

Have you granted execute any procedure to workflow schema user?

yes Sad
I think it wouldn't deploy with insufficient privilleges. It's deploying with no errors, but it doesn't execute.

I haven't got a clue, sorry. Have you search the Oracle forums already for similar cases?

Hello.

How can I create the workflow schema user. Whenj trying to deploy a process flow, OWB ask for that information, but I don't know wich tool use to create that schema , or if I must create a user and grant some special privilegies.

Thanks for help.

Hi

After installing the workflow software there will be a wfinstall.bat or sh or something like this in the wf_home/owf/... directory. With this program you can install the workflow schema.

Thanks for reply Ott Karesz.

It's workflow software a separate product? That involves a separate licence?

Thanks.

Hi

Wokrflow is the part of the db install package.
You can install it from the db cd.
You don't need additional license, just install it, and create the repository with wfinstall.

Hello Ott Karesz.
I install the DB but there was a reference to Worflow Client only. There is a product called Workflow Server, Do I need to install it in order to use Proccess Flow in OWB??

Please guide me, I am very confused.!!

Regards,

Ser@fo

Hi

Of course you must install the workflow server. This is the software.
After installing it you must install the workflow repository (schema).
