I am a Java/J2EE developer and want to add
general RDBMS & SQL skills to my skill-set.
So want to appear for the test
1Z0-001 Intro to Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL
Due to some career reasons
I am planning to take only 1Z0-001 test for the present.
I understand,I would be getting the certification as
"Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Forms Developer"
only after I complete the other exams in the series.
But I plan to give the rest of the tests later based
on time and financial conditons.
In the meanwhile, if I pass the
1Z0-001 exam, I would like to show it as a part
of my skill-set in my future career progression including future
job interviews.
Can someone please tell me, if I pass the
1Z0-001 exam, WHETHER I WOULD BE GETTING ANY
HARD-COPY / (Printable-Soft-Copy) PROOF OF HAVING
CLEARED the 1Z0-001 exam which I can use for my future
career progression.

Hi Maaher
Thanks for the reply....
I think just printed copy of score card may not be enough,
especially while applying to bigger companies...
So I guess I will need to think more seriously about my decison to go for OCP.
Also requirements for OCA
(Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate)
are
1Z0-007 Introduction to Oracle9i: SQL®
OR
1Z0-001 Introduction to Oracle: SQL® and PL/SQL™
+
1Z0-147 Program with PL/SQL
What do you think about the choice between 1Z0-007
and 1Z0-001 ? Which one I should go for ?
Also, Oracle has introduced a new requirement of
Hands-On Course Requirement
for OCP which requires us to attend one instructor-led inClass or instructor-led online course
(which may mean more time, effort and money...)
From the requirement of OCA given at
http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=48#2
it is not clear whether Hands-On Course Requirement is required
for OCA also ?
Do you have any idea about this also ?
Thanks in advance......

Hi,
what is a decent score in OCA 1z0-007 exam..???
It is depand on your performance but minimum passing marks ( oracle 9i sql izo-007) is 70%.
and do the companies see the score sheet as well ..???
Yes, if you show you done Oracle Exam. then you should show score print copy with your CV.
@measdev
Already Maaher suggested your you have to done OCA then you will get OCA Certification from Oracle Corporation.
you can done OCA in two different field.
1. OCA Database track ----> IZO-007 + IZ0-031
2. OCA Developer track----> IZO-007 + IZO-147
you can give IZO-101. this paper include both SQL or PLSQL question.
regards
Taj
