Hi,
I have an application created using Forms6i which saves documents into a blob type column.

Now, in HTMLdb, i am trying to create a page which enables my users to upload these files... but my problem is, i think, htmldb requires a mime_type for each documents to help it identify the kind of application to open the file, and i don't have that information stored in the table. It does, allow me to open text files, but with extra garbage characters at the beginning and the end of the document. Other types of documents, won't allow me to open them.

Can anybody please help me?

Thanks!!!

Marilyn,

Have a look at this How To document on OTN:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/howto_file_upload.html

It should outline the steps required in order to upload & download BLOBs to and from HTML DB.

Thanks,
