TRACO is a premier designer and manufacturer of commercial and residential windows and doors. TRACO offers a complete line of custom-designed architectural, heavy commercial, commercial and residential rated windows, doors, curtain wall, storefront, entrances, skylights, solariums, folding glass walls, sunrooms and impact resistant hurricane windows and doors. The company has five manufacturing facilities and is headquartered in Cranberry Township, PA. TRACO manufactures products for retrofit, new construction and historic projects utilizing state-of-the art systems.
We are recruiting for an Oracle Applications Database Administrator to work at our Corporate Headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA (north of Pittsburgh, PA).
Responsibilities:
• Provide DBA support for Oracle ERP and ASCP and other application databases
• Configure and tune production, test and development systems
• Install and upgrade Oracle databases and applications
• Support database cleanup and architecture efforts
• Provide change control management
• Tune database SQL
• Lead the identification, troubleshooting and resolution of Oracle technical problems
• Manage day-to-day communication with Unix, NT and network administrators
• Identify opportunities to improve application support process and administration
• Anticipate upcoming Oracle releases or bug fixes and takes action to incorporate into planning and communication, including patch analysis and installation
• Configure and tune databases and application servers (Concurrent Manager, Forms and Reports servers, etc.)
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in progressive technical roles, most recently as an Oracle applications DBA
• Oracle 8.x/9.x DBA skills. Apps 11i skills
• Oracle 9ias, Oracle Workflow, Forms Server 6i, Reports Server 6i, Apache 1.3.9. Concurrent manager, Discoverer Server, SQL, stored procedure development, NT and Unix system administration and a solid programming background
• Good verbal and written communication skills
