All Gurus,

We are using Oracle Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production and Forms 4.5.

In one of my forms when we open it, it gives following error:

FRM-40908: RAM internal Error: IRM: File
i:\src\irm\irmfre.c, line 79: Disk I/O failure

This happens on some of the machine and on another machines it is working fine.

Please help me in solving this problem.

Thanx in advance.
HARISH

Make sure that the TMP and TEMP environment variables have been defined and that they point to an area to which the user has write access.

Hey, have this same error when in Oracle Apps on 11.03. Any tips on where to verify this temp area that you speak of to see if this is the problem for us? It happens when scrolling down the long list of parameters

It depends on your operating system. Which one is it?

On MS Windows 7, you'd go to "Start" - right click on "Computer" - "Properties" - "Advanced system settings" - "Advanced" tab - "Environment variables" button. In there, you should see both TEMP and TMP and directory they point to.

Thanks for your response.

I think this is a server side issue. I know where the TEMP and TMP settings are on windows on my clients. And they are set and quite large.
