Hi,

We were exporting the data which is in excel format through Microsoft Visual Basic Application to Oracle 8i database.
While exporting the data system suddenly restarted.

Now we are facing Err."ORA-1113:Can not open database" and ORA-01034:Oracle not available" when we are trying to connect to oracle database.

Hence we are requesting to know the solutions. pls help us.

check on the server, if oracle database is running.

Also check the alert.log file on oracle server.
