how to call a form from another one using a variable from the calling form to get the right record in the called from??

hmmm... u know what i mean, i'm sure :)

You want to look at the Forms builtins Call_Form, Open_Form and New_Form.

These allow you to pass parameters to the new form, so all you have to do is pass the correct primary keys over.
