hi all,
we get this message sometimes (yes, sometimes, of course):
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17113], [0x000000000], [], [], [], [], [], []
...in various ways. for example
- during an import process, at creating a procedure
- executing an absolutely valid "create table" statement (what is executed well after a reconnect)
- and (this is my favourite): in plsql developer when code assistant tries to help you after typed the parenthesis (or just invoked manually) in the end of entering "select lpad("
the trace reports it as an "internal heap error".
is there anybody who has experienced this one or just knows what could this error code mean?
i haven't find any useful information till now except some discussion about this error with similar arguments (17112,17114).
is it "the same"? could it be an oracle bug or some os (by chance hardware) level fault?
any idea is welcome.

There are quite a few hits on metalink for ora-00600 and 17113, mostly for HPUX, but some for generic platforms.
Maybe it can help you.
(ora-00600 mostly means: check Metalink and, if you can't find it there, contact support)
