Is Oracle client version 8.0.5 compatiable with Oracle server version 9.0.1?

It will work for most tasks but you will encounter problems when trying to work with new 9i datatypes such as Intervals and Timestamps, and SQL*Plus won't accept SQL statements starting MERGE or WITH etc.
