you could press the PRINT button but I guess thats not want you call helpful :)
Are you using web forms or client-server..? (it may make a difference)
Export data:
Create a file UTL_FILE or TEXT_IO (latter pre 9i(?))
OLE2 - export to word or excel
Client-Server works find is quite simple
Web forms very slow, suggest export data first
create a report:
use Oracle Reports or similar tool, although often only good for printing.

Hello,
TEXT_IO sounds good. Where can I find it (Oracle DB 8 / Oracle DB 9) ??
Maybe someone has a simple example ?
As far as I know TEXT_IO writes on the local machine (client). This would be sufficient.
OLE2 would be also ok, but I do not know how, a little example would be a great help. Is the webutil package necessary for OLE2 ??
Thanks for the suggestions

Test_io was removed in later version of oracle
declare
val text_io.file_type; --to_test text_io
--val utl_file.file_type; --to test utl_file
begin
null;
end;
runnig this will let you know - if it errors you don't have it! :)
WEB_UTIL will be needed for OLE2 if you are using web-forms, but not for client-server? which are you using?

Hello Hi!
I'm using Forms 10g with the Application Server 10 and (at the moment) Oracle Database 8.1.7.2 (for production)
and Database 9 during development (later version 9 should alos be used for production).
Ok, with your test I get errors with TEXT_IO so I don't have it. Exists the possibility to add the package TEXT_IO as stand-alone with newer database versions ?
