Hi,
I m a begineer in Oracle DBA.
I have 3 doubts regarding fundamentals of DBA:
1) Where is the SGA allocated ?(virtual memory or RAM or shared)
2) As Cache is a fast memory, then where is data buffer cache(all 3 types), redo log cache is allocated?
(whether in cache or virtual or main memory)
3) Data dictionary cache stores the most recently used data definitions & the info. regarding the datafiles.
Is this info. reg. the datafiles is also the most recently, & if so then by what method used to get the data whose info. corresponding abt. datafiles is not there in data dictionary?
Any response will be highly appreciable.
TIA,
Sachin

SGA is allocated in RAM
