We want to upgrade to th ecurrent version of Oracle Portal.  To test the process we clone a database, upgrade it to 9.1 then upgrade Portal and SSO.  when we try to sign on we get an " unexpected error".

A tar has been logged with Oracle, but months have passed and they cant solve nor reproduce the problem.

We are also upgrading the version of RedHat.

To clone the database we have ftp'ed the datafiles to another machine, set them up with the same unix file names (following OFA) and started the database.

Question I have " is there something we need to do to the meta data within the Portal database when copying to another machine and or OS level"
