Hi,

there is a database holding information about all the stock prices, daily financial info etc. how do i update the data which is like changing every minute or second, what mean i want a general opnion whether i need to write triggers, queries etc. what the most appropriate in this situation

I also need to know how the user using the system will be alerted that the information on the database has changed. what sorts of coding do i need to do so that user is alerted on their desktop.

Don't need any coding but a general answer what is most appropriate eg, triggers, cursors, or what sort of queries.
