Hi,

Is there a way to save a PDF report output from a form to a local windows directory?
My versions is Oracle Forms 12.2.1.4. Oracle Weblogic 12.2.1.4. Oracle Reports 12.2.1.3. All from oracle linux 8.

We want to launch a report from a form and save the output in PDF on my computer.

1. We select the option "Generation in PDF" and indicate a Windows path where we want the file to be saved.

2. The report is launched but it fails due to the following error:

I have followed the steps in the note “REP-69 REP-56133 Errors When Trying to Run Reports With DESTYPE = FILE in Reports 12c (Doc ID 2070662.1)” but it still gives the same error.

Thanks,
Iker

Hi,
I know it is an old post, but answering anyway so that anyone searching result for a similar issue may get some help.

Requirement :
You want to generate reports to a directory. ( I assume that it is a directory in the server. If it is a client machine folder you are trying to generate report to, you need to first generate report in server and then need to copy it to client using webutil).

How to do it.
add folder write permission in rwserver.conf
run report with DESTYPE = FILE and DESNAME = DIrecory Path\filename.pdf

If you face REP-56133, it must be with the folder write permission.

This below blog describe the solution with screenshots.

Hope this helps.
