Dear all,

I am testing GoldenGate. I am using GoldenGate 12c for replication using Database 11g on two seperate nodes.

In noode 1
========

I am getting error like below:

[oracle@gg1 gg_home]$ ./ggsci

Oracle GoldenGate Command Interpreter for Oracle
Version 12.2.0.1.1 OGGCORE_12.2.0.1.0_PLATFORMS_151211.1401_FBO
Linux, x64, 64bit (optimized), Oracle 11g on Dec 12 2015 00:54:38
Operating system character set identified as UTF-8.

GGSCI (gg1) 2> dblogin userid ggowner password ggowner;
Successfully logged into database.

GGSCI (gg1 DBLOGIN as ggowner) 3> add trandata hr.*
ERROR: Could not retrieve default catalog name.

What does default catalog mean?

Am i missing any step?

I completed the step like

SQL> @role_setup.sql

Enter GoldenGate schema name:ggowner

SQL> GRANT GGS_GGSUSER_ROLE TO ggowner;

Grant succeeded.

But Same catalog errors appears.

NOTE:
SQL> select NAME, LOG_MODE, FORCE_LOGGING, SUPPLEMENTAL_LOG_DATA_MIN from v$database;

NAME      LOG_MODE     FOR SUPPLEME
--------- ------------ --- --------
ORCL1     ARCHIVELOG   YES YES

Regards,
Morad.
