Hello

I installed Oracle 10g developer Suite along with Oracle 11g express database on Windows 7 64 bit computer, after installation I checked the connectivity between forms and database and I 'm able to connect it but when I press Run Form option then internet explorer says the following message.

waiting for the response from 127.0.0.1

Then doing some processing.

I also put the following values in Form>Edit>Runtime
Application Server URL http://User-PC:8890/forms/frmservlet
Web Browser Location C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

I also installed JInitiator 1.3.1.22 but no success.
I really appreciate if someone help me out. Thanks

Regards
Muzz

First, you have to configure the Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g so you can run a form from the Forms Builder. Take a look at this Internet article: https://sites.google.com/site/craigsoraclestuff/oracle-forms---how-to-s/forms-how-to-configure-forms-builder-to-run-forms-locally.

The ODS comes preconfigured to use the JInitiator; which is completely not compatible with Windows 7 and has been desupported by Oracle. Take a look at the link above - it will show you what you must do to configure everything.

Thanks for the reply CraibB but I already solved this problem by using the following link.
