Hi,
I have master detail blocks.

Block1 : Allocations
item: Qty_to_Allocate

Block2 :Allocationlines
Item: round

My requirement is if I modify the round coulmn then the value should be automatically added to Qty_to_Allocate column in Block1.

how to do this using summary function.

So, your question is "how to create a summary column"? Did you search for it in Forms' Help?

Am getting below error..

FRM-30377: Summary item must reside in single-record block or in same block as summarized item.

That error means you have to put the summary column in your summarized block. When you do this, you have to change the "Query All Records" property to yes. The other option, would be to put your summary column in a Control Block.
