Hi All,

How to make sure a particular query always has to use same execution plan?

Is there any hint?

Thanks.

You need to research SQL Plan Baselining or Stored Outlines, depoending on whether you have Enterprise or Standard edition licences.

--update:
There are some baselining demos here,
SQL Plan Baselines (11g)
the mechanism is improved in release 12.

Why would you want to?

I know there are some outlying valid reasons, but for the most part I'd trust the CBO every time. So my question is, do you have one of those outlying valid reasons?
