ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired
ORA-06512: at "STATS_S603090DC3ORA03.JOB_REBUILD_STATS_SUMMARY_FREQ", line 334
[b]ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired

Database version - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production
O/S - Linux s600986dc3sl04.clouddb.savvis.net 2.6.18-194.17.1.el5

I have seen this alert happen on a regular basis almost daily. My expectation when this happens on a regular basis is there any permanent resolution of it ... ???

It is a high priority . Please let me know if further info needed on this.

Execute this job during a period (window) there is no other job/batch/client modifying the tables.

Hi Michel , Thanks for your prompt reply . Can you be more specific. Actually i supporting this database so i have to be very clear before talking to my customer.

What options we have here ..?
What kind of impact they can cause ..?
Is there any problem with associated SQL code (job) ..?

You have to first determine what "STATS_S603090DC3ORA03"."WHISTLE_TO_STATS2" and "STATS_S603090DC3ORA03.JOB_REBUILD_STATS_SUMMARY_FREQ" jobs are, when they execute... check DBA_SCHEDULER% views.
Then check what was executing at the same time (maybe using AWR or Statspack report/tables at this time).
Then advise to not execute these ones at the same time.
