We are using strems for data replication in our shop.

When an error occours in our processing procedures, the LCR is moved to the error queue.

The problem we are facing is we don't know how to uniquely identify LCRs in that queue, so we can run them again when we think the error is corrected.

LCRs contain SCN, but as I understand it, the SCN is not unique.

What is the easy way to keep track of LCRs? Any information is helpful.

Thanks

Even I found this topic posted in OTN, however, not all moderators here in OraFAQ appreciate when it is addressed in this fashion. I am completely clueless about it. Is it considered ethical to remind OP about cross posting in multiple forums? Because when I did so in past, I was replied sarcastically. I even shared it in community hangout forum once, I got mixed responses.

There is no problem cross-posting.
It is interesting for us to have the link to this cross-post.
I think this is the purpose of John's post not to point OP to something wrong.
(Indeed I prefer to prefix the link by something like "for cross-ref" to prevent for misinterpretation.)

Will take offline, probably via PM or suitable forum. I don't want to spoil this thread. For example : http://www.orafaq.com/forum/mv/msg/190888/604397/#msg_604397 Sorry for raising the concern here.
