As these are Oracle products, and - knowing that Oracle is a RDBMS - forms are used to manipulate data stored in tables (that would be selecting them and displaying on the screen, inserting new records, updating or deleting existing ones). Reports, as its name suggests, is used to fetch data and prepare them to be printed on a piece of paper.

Imagine anything in your environment that can be put into the database. All of that can be represented by forms and reports. It would take far too much time to specify real time scenarios; the list is endless.
