it appears your users know more about Oracle DB internals than you do (which does not say much at all)

how do you or they know that any inactive session more than 3 days old ACTUALLY exists now?

Ready, Fire, AIM!

Come on, Srikanth. No user has ever complained that "there are too many inactive sessions". No user even knows that there are inactive sessions. What was the actual complaint?

This is not a complaint and what is wrong is that they can know there are inactive sessions, this is not their business.
