What is the name of the trigger that is activated after selecting a record by using a LOV?

It depends. If there are no triggers in this form, none can fire (obviously).

I'd suggest you to run a form in debug mode and trace its execution. Then you'll know for sure what's going on, which triggers fired, in which sequence.

This depends on the event that occurred and caused the LOV to trigger. But few events that are very common are as follows.

Like if you have make your LOV "Validate From List" then it should always invoke the LOV if an invalid value is entered in the LOV attached item or a value which is not in the LOV list.

Similarly if you have pressed F9 key that is used for invoking an LOV is it is attached to the item then Key-ListVal will fire.

You're talking about what can cause the LOV to appear.
OP is asking what triggers will fire after you select a record in the LOV.
