Hi

attached the DDL of a Java web application. All important data in CLOB data type are XML files.

According to my small DB design skills this is scary. You can't do SQL statements for reporting, you need to use a Webservice. Vendor doesn't publish an ERD.

What you think? Is this "new generation" DB design? Can you explain me sense? What are advantages and disadvantages of this aproach?
