Hi ,

I am having a Find Screen which contain five column.
If a user enters any of the field then according to that another window will open and the result will be shown.

I used ONETIME_WHERE for this criteria. Please let me know if you have any other approach to achieve it.

Thanks

What's wrong with built-in querying mechanism? You need only one data block, enter query mode, enter search criteria, execute query and the result is here - no additional coding is necessary.

I want to know if user is going to put any combination of value whether it will work.??
And from starting i was using ONETIME_WHERE clause so i am not aware of built-in mechanism.

Of course that ANY combination won't work - that would be one that doesn't return any records to the screen.

ONETIME_WHERE is "advanced", default behavior is "basic". How come you didn't learn basics first?

Hi Littlefoot,

I am aware of the basic in oracle forms, and the default didn't worked for me, because user is going to put any combination so i opted for ONETIME_WHERE.
Please let me know if you have any further approach to achieve it.

Thanks

Sorry, but - in my opinion - you are wrong. Forms is perfectly capable of handling "any combination" without you programming it.
