How to set the password of listener in RAC env,and if set the password,how to start it using srvctl command.

It is a bad practice to set a password.
Allow only local access to the listener.

Hi Michel, Is there specific lines to be added along with SRVCTL CONFIG LISTENER command for password setting? why it is a bad practice to set password for listener, since iam new to learning RAC environment concepts,

This is not just RAC, it is any listener, it is a bad practice because, anyway, a password can be found; so removing all listener passwords remove the possibility to find them. Without speaking about the paths that are open to hack when you have a password and then allow remote access to the listener.
ONLY allow local administration of listener.
