Hello!
I have a hot backup (dmp) and my oracle is in archivelog mode.
I had a problem with oracle and i reinstall oracle10g and restire the last backup.
I want to ask how can get the last transaction in my new database reading from the archivelogs before the problem?

Thanks u all end best regards.

If your "backups" are (export) dumps then they are not database backup but just data backup and you can't apply archived logs on them you can just create a new database and import your dump at the time when the dump was created and you lose everything that have been done since.

You just have to execute "recover database;" RMAN command, or if you lose some database files "restore database; recover database;" and RMAN will find what it needs to do the job.
