Hello,

Can you please anyone guide me how to create local user in Oracle Database 12c.

I just installed fresh copy and I want to create. I have read about new concept in 12c regarding common user and local user but i dont understand how to create local user.

Kindly help me.

I am using Oracle 12c in Windows 8.1 pro 64bit operating system.

Do you have multitenant environment? Common/local applies only if you do. Anyway, common is user created at root level with name starting with C##. You don't need, among other things, to create common user in every PDB - common user is known to any (event future) PDBs. Local user is user you create in a pluggable database and it can only connect to that PDB.
