hi

i load data from file to oracle through unix file system. file comes with ^mcharacter and to remove it we use dos2unix.
my load start whenever file arrive in director automatically so i want a system which can do dos2unix before running them. is there anyway we can run unix command from oracle interface.

please help

Yes.

Though a little old, above article still holds good for the basics.

And in most cases, you actually need the other way around which is way simple.
Write a shell script to employ dos2unix and then load the data using oracle tools.
